The diet termed MIND is derived from the Mediterranean DASH Intervention for Neuro-degenerative Delay diet, and it lowered the risk of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) patients by 53% for those participants who adhered to the diet rigorously. type2Type 2 diabetes has a strong genetic predisposition and diabetic trends tend to run in the same families. New research has for the first time pointed out that the genes that predispose people to diabetes can be modified through epigenetics. Epigenetics refers to a link between hereditary and environment and is related to outside factors such as aging, chemicals, medication, diet, exercise and drugs.
